Many thanks to all the ladies at Highfield bowling club on Sunday 23rd August for hosting the Jane Spence Trophy Competition. It was a great day in the sun - not too hot, and everyone enjoyed it. The ladies provided amazing bacon butties, lovely sandwiches and homemade chocolate cakes to die for, they certainly worked hard in the kitchen.
Thanks to Chris Berry for running the compertition with exactitude and rolling things along nicely., to Sue Southern and Debbie Coleman for measuring all day , along with Jackie hewittson who yet again marked and measured - it;s becoming a habit! to be continued next year.
Congratulations to the winner Gill Sutton who retained the trophy fron last year, beating Janet Wright in an exeptinally good final. Semi finalists were Maria Adams and Kath Wilson.
Thanks to all who enteered, it really is appreciated.
