Joan Sutcliffe, our Treasurer is relinquishing her position at the end of this season. Joan has been an extremely valued committee member for many years and for personal reasons feels it is time for someone else to take on this role.

Presidents Day Result, Doubles Day Result .
Presidents Day held on 14th June at Whitechapel....Losing semi Finalist were Ruth Lowe (Barton) and Joan Sutcliffe (Pilling RR B, Runner up was India Eade (Pilling RR A). The winner was Dawn Benn (Goose Green).

Doubles Day again held at Whitechapel on 26th July....Losing Semi Finalists were Joy Crosbie/Janet Gilligan (Presall B); Lesley Slack/Joan Clarkson (Nateby).
The Runners Up were Gill Bailey/Linda Buckley (Stalmine)and the Winners were Andrea Holt/Jackie Manson (Singleton B).
Many thanks to everyone at Whitechapel for their hospitality, superb refreshments, car park attendant and gentlemen measurers. We are looking forward to the Cup Finals on Tuesday 26th August and Top Average Day on Tuesday 16th September.

Odd woods again!.
Please check your woods. Is anybody is possession of 1 Taylor (serial no AA502468E) 2.2 and 1 Tornado 2.2??? The lady who owns the Tornado woods noticed yesterday and wishes to be re-united with the other one. Please ring Pat Conchie on 07519 766453 . The mix up could have happened in the following leagues;- Over Wyre Ladies League, Blackpool Evening Ladies League, Longridge Mixed Vets or Knott End League.

Odd bowls.
Please check your bowls .... There has been a mix-up during this year. Someone who normally plays with Henselite 2.6 are now playing with 1 Henselite and 1 Drakes Pride 2.4 with the number 5611 stamped on it. 3. Whoever has these odd woods played against lady from Whitechapel during ths current season. Please contact me, Pat Conchie on 07519 766453. The owner of the Drakes Pride plays for Whittingham in the Woodplumpton Vets and Preston District Ladies Leagues, and Whitechapel in the Longridge Vets, Longridge League and Over Wyre Ladies League.
