WVBL - Presidents Day - 19th June 2025.
A HUGE thank you from the Woodplumpton Vets Bowling League to Great Eccleston BC and League President Kate Glancy for staging such a brilliant day.
Glorious weather, great facilities, excellent catering and help all round from members and spectators made this such a memorable day.
Congratulations to the winner, Gary Brash from Nateby BC who defeated Mike Rogers 21 -10 in an excellent final to win the "Bob Sanderson Trophy".
In the semi-finals Mike Rogers defeated Dave Holden 21-20, and Gary Brash defeated Angela Sargent 21-19. Both games were closely contested.
Special thanks to Garry Bamber (Hon. Competitions Secretary) for organising the running order for the day and making the event run generally so smoothly.
