Please be notified that Thurlby no longer have floodlights.

Divisions 2 to 6 April Fixtures.
In a previous news item, it was stated that the April Fixtures for Divisions 2 to 6 inclusive will be played during September instead of the usual Cup Matches. This is still correct, although later there will be the problem of enough light and/or cooler temperatures during September and possible clashes with the Floodlit League. Please will ALL team captains consult their teams in the next 2 or 3 weeks and decide if they can play the fixtures earlier than originally planned. The fixtures occurring on greens with floodlights are not much of a problem, although they could be played earlier if the relevant teams can agree on an earlier date. Fixtures without floodlights can (or should) be played earlier if at all possible. Any change to the date of any fixture MUST BE notified, in adequate notice, to Carl Fazackerley, the Hon. Fixtures Secretary, preferably by phone (having trouble with emails at moment) or placed within the Comments box on the Match Results form. Carl will confirm receipt of such notice via email or phone. Thanking you in advance for your time and co-operation in this important matter.

Please be notified that Whitechapel B has been reinstated into the League. It transpired that they did not want to start on April 5th, so they decided not to play this season for reason of the coronavirus pandemic. Since we are now starting on May 3rd, it was decided by the Executive Committee to allow them back in. Hope this does not cause any inconvenience. Best regards Carl Fazackerley.
